Eczema Remedy That Will Help to Drive Eczema Way for Good

Eczema is a painful skin irritation which makes you scratch yourself uncontrollably to relieve yourself and is difficult to cure completely if you’re not using the right products or salves. In fact there are no 100% guaranteed fool-proof medicines or ointments that can drive away eczema for ever (because every case is unique) but if you follow the given instructions, you can keep eczema effectively under control and keep it at bay.

Good Skin Care as an Eczema Remedy

All dermatological problems require squeaky clean skin that has to be moisturized generously with hypo-allergenic moisturizers or moisturizers prescribed by your doctor after cleaning the affected portion with mild soap water.

It is important to remember that certain soaps or cleansing agents and moisturizers/creams contain chemicals that can trigger off more allergic reactions and aggravate your eczema. So it’s best to consult your doctor. But the bottom line is that you have to religiously keep your skin clean and sufficiently moisturized. Remember: clean skin doesn’t have to mean harsh chemicals and cleansers. There are many skin cleansers that are very mild and hypoallergenic. It can be difficult to know what’s mild and what isn’t at first, so I recommend you take a look at the Dead Sea products from Cleopatra’s Choice as a starting point.

Try to avoid triggers

There are various factors which can worsen your eczema and you should try your level best to avoid those triggers to guard against potential flare ups. You have to stay away from stress/worry/anxiety/tension, allergens, allergy causing food items like peanuts, wheat, eggs, milk; airborne allergens like pet hairs, molds, dust mites, flower pollens; physical and chemical irritants like perfumes, fragrances of flowers, astringents, alcohol, toilet paper, air freshener, cleaner, emollients, cosmetics, paint, pesticides; extreme temperatures and humidity levels; synthetic fabrics etc.

Gels and Ointments as an Eczema Remedy

Along with this basic hygiene regimen, you can apply medicated lotions, gels, ointments like Elidel prescribed by your doctor on the affected region right from the very start to relieve the itch, redness and swelling significantly. These ointments and gels come in handy for soothing mild or moderate eczema, if applied from the very beginning.
